V and B bar, Lempdes
A hospitality space requiring a well-balanced atmosphere
In hospitality environments such as bars, managing both sound and visual ambiance plays a key role in the overall customer experience. With high occupancy, constant conversations, and a lively atmosphere, these spaces must strike the right balance between energy and comfort.
Located in Lempdes (France), the V and B project perfectly illustrates this challenge. Spanning 500 m², it required a solution capable of integrating seamlessly into the identity of the venue while structuring the space in a coherent way.
The ceiling becomes a central element in addressing these challenges, at the intersection of functionality and aesthetics.
The V and B project in Lempdes (France) falls within the hospitality sector, where high occupancy and constant interaction naturally generate a lively sound environment. In this type of space, it is essential to balance conviviality, comfort, and speech intelligibility, while ensuring consistency with the venue’s identity.
Ceiling design therefore plays a key role, both in shaping the overall atmosphere and in ensuring visual integration.
“V and B Lempdes is a concept combining a cellar and a bar, with a space dedicated to beers, wines, and spirits, and a bar area designed as a friendly place to relax, with an afterwork spirit.” — Co-owner of V and B Lempdes
To meet these requirements, an acoustic ceiling solution was implemented across the entire site, using a consistent approach adapted to the full 500 m² surface.
Installation was carried out by Renov Concept, ensuring a coherent and uniform application throughout the space.
“The impact of acoustic treatment is clear when comparing our different locations. We’ve seen the difference between older and newer V and B venues. It really makes a difference — it helps eliminate unwanted background noise.” — Co-owner of V and B Lempdes
The project is based on the use of Tonga A® 22 Black, a solution that fully integrates with the identity of the venue.
The choice of a black finish creates a strong visual signature, particularly suited to hospitality spaces such as bars and restaurants, while ensuring continuity across the entire ceiling.
This solution combines:
- strong aesthetic integration
- uniform acoustic treatment across large surfaces
- a response tailored to the project’s specific context
“For the team, the acoustic treatment makes a real difference. Behind the bar, we don’t feel overwhelmed by noise. Sound is well absorbed, and we can hear customers clearly without needing to lower the volume in the room.”
